The next time you send flowers, be sure to order direct with the Florist that will be filling and delivering your order for you...........
Since when did sending flowers become such a big deal?
"Industry experts predict that Local Florists will have only 25% (Down from 43%) of all online flower business by the year 2014 if they do not do something about it now!"
Who spends the most for the least?
The elderly customer without the internet or the customer that likes the convenience.
I always go to my neighborhood florist and they send flowers to my daughter in New York to a florist up there for me. I know they get some money and I pay a little extra for the 'wire-relay" fee they charge me.
The on the go customer that loves the convenience of online purchasing
I dont have the time, I just type in send flowers online florist and click the first florist that looks good to me for sending flowers. I place my order for flowers and trust my recipient will receive what I bought them. I mean, I did order from a real florist, didn't I?
Will my flowers be delivered from a real florist or will a delivery van drop them off in a box?
Who spends the least for the most?
The smart buyer that values their hard earned dollars and wants to support local business and help get Americans back to work.
Lets see, I will use google maps and type in Florists Attleboro Mass because I am sending flowers to my daughter today. Ok here is one, let me call them and verify they are a real local florist. Ok, they passed my test. I place my order with the florist, I provide them with my CC information and all pertinent information. I know I will now get my full value from the florist and what flowers will be in the arrangement as I was able to speak with the designer at the florist filling the order.
" I supported my Local Florist, because I ordered the flowers I
was sending from the florist that will fill and deliver my order."
Locate and Verify
Locate
Locate a real local florist in any City and State between these three following resources: (Best results when you search by City and State)
1.Search4Florists ![]()
2.Locate-A-Flower-Shop
3. Google Maps* Google-Maps
*When using Google maps be sure to type in "Florists City State" where City and State are the actual City and States where you want to locate a florist. Also beware of any listings in the "pink shaded" areas at the top and bottom of the results as that area is "paid for" ad space which contain ads from Order Gathers and Wire Services 99% of the time.
Verify
Locate a Florist that has a local phone number and a physical address.
Phony florists sometimes offer a fake and even real street address's, relying on the fact that you won't verify that the business actually exists as advertised. Look for a local telephone number. Many local florists do offer 800-number service, but they will also publish a local number.
Call the business directly,
(This is one of the best way's to tell if they are a real florist or just another Order Gatherer and use their Toll Free #) tell them that you found them on the internet and would like directions to their shop as you will be in the area and want to "Stop by to pick up something for a friend". If you receive any response other than "where are you coming in from", an alarm should go off in your head and you should tell them to have a nice day.
Look for the shop's hours of operation.
Most florists are open six or seven days per week.
If you find a Web site with only an 800-number and no physical address,
most likely you will be dealing with an Order Gatherer.
